  • Email asks you to confirm/update/verify your account data at HSBC Online by visiting the given link. You will be taken to a spoof website where your details will be captured for the phishers.


  • HSBC Online never send their users emails requesting personal details in this way.


  • The anchor text appears as a legitimate URL, but don't be fooled - clicking on it will take you to a phishing site!

computers have logged onto your Online
account, and multiple password
failures were present before the login. It is
now necessary to re-confirm your account
information to us.

If this is not completed by 19 January 2010,
we will be forced to suspend your account
indefinitely, as it may have been
used for fraudulent purposes. We thank you
