Comments:
  • Email asks you to confirm/update/verify your account data at BOA Military by visiting the given link. You will be taken to a spoof website where your details will be captured for the phishers.

  • BOA Military never send their users emails requesting personal details in this way.

  • The spoof website this email links to was not online at time of this report, but variations of the scam which link to working websites are bound to exist, so be wary! The website may have been taken down or disabled by the hosts, but quite often these websites are hosted on the personal computer of the phishers, so may only be online at certain times.

  • The REAL URL of the spoof website looks nothing like the actual BOA Military URL.

"During a recent checkout we detected suspicious activity and your Card may have been compromised."

Dear BOA Military Cardholder

Continuous Monitoring is an integral part of Bank of America's multiple layers of security. In addition to other fraud monitoring tools, we can often spot fraud based upon transactions on the card that are outside of cardholders typical purchasing pattern. This allows us to spot fraudulent activity as quickly as possible and acts as an early-warning system to identify fraudulent activity.

During a recent checkout we detected suspicious activity and your Card may have been compromised. Fraudulent activity made it necessary to limit your card for online services. Conform to our security requirements and in order to continue online services with your card, we must validate your identity. Please use our link below to proceed.
