  • Email asks you to confirm/update/verify your account data at HSBC by visiting the given link. You will be taken to a spoof website where your details will be captured for the phishers.


  • HSBC never send their users emails requesting personal details in this way.

Dear HSBC Customer,

We recently have determined that different
computers have logged onto your Internet
Banking account, and multiple
failure security question and answer were
present before the logons. We now need you to
re-confirm your account
information to us.

If this is not completed by 12 Of July, 2010,
we will be forced to suspend your account
indefinitely, as it may have
been used for fraudulent purposes. We thank
you for your cooperation...
