This eBay email (see image below) is a forgery and part of a phishing scam which includes a bogus eBay web page which aims to convince users to give up their personal and financial information.

The email contains a link which is disguised to look like a genuine hyperlink to eBay.com. It will actually send you to the bogus eBay page and the URL reveals that it is in no way associated with the online auction giant - http://poison.b0x.com/account.html is hosted by Maidstone Net (freewebsites.com) in England.

Any information provided is processed through equinox.net's form to mail service and sent to a yahoo email account (treabanew@yahoo.com).

If you have received this email, please remember that it is very common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first, although not necessarily from the same apparent sender.
