A particularly persistant spoof eBay email ...

This spoof eBay email (see image below) comes in HTML format with text and a disguised link to a forged eBay from. The link is disguised using HTML code and will not send you to the URL described in the link text.

The bogus eBay web form has the following URL - http://143.248.16.15/cgi/ - which is visible in the browser address bar. There are no attempts to spoof the URL. Further reports have indicated that other URLs are in play.

Any information submitted into the form is sent on to the fraudsters using a form to mail sevice provided by dk3.com

If you have received this email, please remember that it is very common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first, although not necessarily from the same apparent sender.
