The link in this email has been disguised
using HTML code to conceal its destination, and using it will load a bogus eBay
web form in your brwoser which requires personal and financial information from
you.
The URL of the bogus eBay web form should give the game away
- http://escrow.host.sk/ssl/eBayISAPI.htm... which resolves to a web hosting
provider in Bratislavia, Slovakia and is clearly nothing to do with eBay at all.
Any information submitted into the bogus eBay form is
processed through a script located on the same server and sent to 4 different
email addresses for the identity thieves to retrieve at their convenience - secretl0ve@yahoo.com,
punjabi3344@aol.com, myashue@juno.com, pfractor@netzero.com.
If you have received this email, please remember that it is very
common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly
different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different
provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common
place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first,
