Another Yahoo! Paydirect phishing scam hits
inboxes with a forged web form... This spoofed Yahoo email bears similarities to today's other
Yahoo
phishing scam including its use of British Telecom's CGI script to process
information submitted into the forged web form it contains. The email is further
coded to send that data on to the fraudsters' email account (mihai@cafea.org)
once its been processed by the CGI script mentioned, and while the genuine Yahoo
Paydirect web page opens in the user's web browser. If you have received this email, please remember that it is very
common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly
different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different
provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common
place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first,
