Fleet Bank 'regular update and verification'
is a hoax...
This Fleet Bank email (see image below) is a spoof. The whole
email body is an image, which when clicked on will open the forged web content.
The true URL of the bogus pop up is http://dlll.info/l/confirm.htm
which resolves to a French ISP, but we expect that this email will refer browsers
to a variety of URLs and uses the same image as in our other recent report of
a Fleet
Bank Scam. Any data submitted is processed through a PHP script located on
the same server as the bogus page.
If you have received this email, please remember that it is very
common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly
different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different
provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common
place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first,
although not necessarily from the same apparent sender. The Spoof Email ...
