An eBay email stating that your registration
has been locked is a hoax ...
This eBay spoof email (see image below) comes in the shape of
a HTML form. It is coded to send any data submitted on to a third party mailbomber
script and into the inbox of a Yahoo email account (bruzli61@yahoo.com).
There is no bogus web content other than the email this time,
but you are redirected to the eBay.com home page if you do submit data into the
form, by which time, the information given will be on its way to the perpetrators.
If you have received this email, please remember that it is very
common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly
different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different
provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common
place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first,
although not necessarily from the same apparent sender. The Spoof Email ...
