1. Email promises (fake) lottery winnings. Once you reply you are asked for a series of small administration fees to cover various costs. You will never get the money you supposedly won. There is no such thing as Universal Stakes Lottery.

2. This is a variant of 419 scams. Read our Millersmiles Guide Part 2: 419 Scams for more information.

3. Do not reply and do not be tempted to reply! There is no money waiting for you and all you can do is loose out.

If you have received this email, please remember that it is very common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first, although not necessarily from the same apparent sender.

We are pleased to inform you of the result of the Lottery Winners International programs held on the 23rd ofJuly, 2004. Your e-mail address attached to ticket number 27522465896-6453 with serial number 3772-554 drew lucky numbers 7-14-18-23-31-45 which consequently won in the 2nd category, you have therefore been approved for a lump sum pay out of 2,000,000 (EUROS ) (TWO MILLION EUROS) CONGRATULATIONS!!! For security purpose and clarity, we advise that you keep your winning information confidential until your claims have been processed and your money remitted to you.
