WARNINGS

1. Email requests you enter your bank details including your PIN number to safeguard your account against 'computer terrorist' attacks. Not the sort of terminology a bank uses! needless to say, entering your details will send them straight into the hands of the scammers through a local script.

2. Citibank never send users emails requesting details in this way.

" Dear Citibank Customer: Recently there have been a large number computer terrorist attacks over our database server. In order to safeguard your account, we require that you update your Citibank ATM/Debit card PIN "...

If you have received this email, please remember that it is very common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first, although not necessarily from the same apparent sender.
