Method	Spoof email links to a spoof webpage where victim is prompted to enter their details believing the site is genuine. Details are then forwarded to a local script and captured.

RISK LEVEL	MEDIUM
WARNINGS	1. Email requests you enter your bank details including your PIN number to safeguard your account against 'computer terrorist' attacks. Not the sort of terminology a bank uses! needless to say, entering your details will send them straight into the hands of the scammers through a local script. 2. Citibank never send users emails requesting details in this way. 3. Very similar to another Citibank scam currently in circulation based on the same server. 4. Spoof webpage claims to be secure but isn't, so any details you enter will be sent unencrypted as well as straight into the hands of the scammers!

If you have received this email, please remember that it is very common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first, although not necessarily from the same apparent sender.

This update is requested of you as a precautionary measure against fraud. Please note that we have no particular indications that your details have been compromised in any way.

This process is mandatory, and if not completed within the nearest time your account may be subject to temporary suspension.

Please make sure you have your Citibank ATM/Debit card and your login details at hand.
