email hoax and web page
sent out on 29th September 2003
This hoax eBay email was distributed on 29th September 2003 and we an image of the hoax email. This is just an image of the original, so there is absolutely no code included and any links, buttons or the form will not work. The images shown have been reduced to 80% of the original size.
The hoax email...
The spoof email states that eBay could
'suspend your account' if you do not resolve some problem
(although the actual problem is not clearly stated. The email
hoax requests that you use the form provided to verify
your information. There is no bogus eBay web page,
everything is requested within this email alone, and when you submit
this information, it is sent on to the scammers using wish.net's form/mail
processing service while you are directed to the genuine ebay.com home
page...
