Another classic '419' Nigerian style of scam - sender claims to be trying to pass on large ammounts of money. But on answering you'll be hit with requests for 'administration fees' before you see any money. These fees will keep coming until you give up, but there is no money!

WARNINGS

1. A '419' style of scam. Scammer claims to be the son of late Chief Alfred Wanga from Republic of South Africa and wishes you to help 'transfer' money for a financial reward. If you go along with them you will be hit with requests for money to cover 'administration fees', but you'll never actually see any returns, and the scammers will simply disappear!

2. Notice that the sender uses a free, web based email address which is basically untraceable. Also a different address is used to that which was used to send the email in the first place.

"This is to inform you of my desire to go into a good business relationship with you."...

If you have received this email, please remember that it is very common for these email scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly different content or the same but with the fake page(s) hosted by a different provider. Also, once you have received one of these hoaxes, it is also common place to receive at least another one and usually a day or two after the first, although not necessarily from the same apparent sender.

The Spoof Email ...

From Sokana Wanga
Currently arrived in
Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire.

Dear Respected one,

Greetings to you and your family.

This is to inform you of my desire to go into a good business relationship with you. It is joyful wanting to know you and associate with you. I decided to contact you based on the trust i feel i have in you believing that you will not betray or harm me in any way.

It is therefore my pleasure to give you the details why i contacted you by introducing my humble self to you.
My name is Sokana Wanga the son of late Chief Alfred Wanga from Republic of South Africa. I am 20 years old this past june 2004. My father was a well established diamond and gold broker in Johanesburg, South Africa.
My problems started after 3 days my father came back from a business trip to Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire when he was attacked and mobbed by unknown gunmen on his way to his gold mine on his regular inspections there with my only little sister Nene, who died instantly resulting from a gun shot and my father died after 5 days in a private hospital in my country. It was as if my father knew he would die, may his caring soul rest in perfect peace Amem. He disclosed to me at the hospital as his only surviving child that he deposited some money amounting to 6.8million american dollars in one of the prime banks here in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire mentioning my name as his next of kin and his only son. He also told me that in case he dies i should look for a trustworthy someone who will help and guide me in investing the money wisely.

Now i am here in Abidjan and have located the bank where the money was deposited and has successfully identified myself and made known to them my intention to transfer my money into an account of my choice for my further investments as I was advised by my late father. I have visited the bank and they have accepted to do so and advised that i must present to them my appointed guardian and trustee as stated in my father's deposit agreement with them because of my current underage.
I am seeking your sincere assistance to be my guardian and
trustee in helping to provide a bank account where this money can be safely transferred into for a very good and lucrative business in your country as you will recommend because this is my only hope of survival in life as i do not wish to go back to South Africa again untill i grew up to be a man enough to face my wicked uncles who wanted to kill me by all means so that they can take over all my father's wealth.

Please send me your full details and your safe account detail where this money will be transferred into for your introduction to the bank so that they can contact you about this transfer.

I have also made up my mind to compensate you with the 15% of the total money for your kind consideration and assistance. I am waiting anxiously to hear from you so that we can proceed immediately as I do not know or have any body here as I am currently staying in a local guest house here alone with the little money people gave me during my father's funeral which i am afraid will run out anytime
from now. You should understand that i am in a foreign land and do not wish to be stranded here.

Please hurry up in your response as i would want everything to be finalized as soon as possible. Please call me on this telephone number here for more discussions,0022507422227.

I will wait for your urgent response.

Thanks and God bless,

Sokana Wanga.
