Send Money Now site is a hoax - beware!

One of our site users sent this email hoax into us on24th November 2003. This is the first time that we've seen this hoax scam, but not the first time that its been in circulation. A quick look around the internet revealed a genuine 'Send Money Now' site (sendmoneynow.com) which is not in operation but which does carry a warning message about email hoaxes just like this one.

We were surprised to find a quite detailed fake web site which is aimed at relieving you of your credit or debit card and banking information. Since this apparent online payment service is not a key payment service, we hope that no one will fall for this ruse, but for your information here are the details...

The web site is hosted on web space in Korea, so we can expect this hoax to be around for a while yet (those hosted in Korean web space always seem to take much longer to be withdrawn from service).

We've included all snapshots of all 3 pages that we've found so far on this fake site, but expect the email to take many forms as the scammers attempt to keep this hoax actively netting unsuspecting recipients.
